Hey all you Pool Fanatics, here is your chance to meet some of the greatest names in Pool like Earl Strickland, Efren "Bata" Reyes, Francisco "Jango" Bustamante, Ralf Souquet, STEVE DAVIS, Last year's champion Thorsten Hohmann, Johnny Archer and our own wonder boy Yang Ching Sung.......
And yes, they are all here in the Taipei world trade center. I was there yesterday and I met almost everyone and took their autographs. Steve Davis was a real gentleman and he played awesome. He was very jolly and was taking pictures with everybody who asked him to. On the other hand, Earl strickland was his usual self, grouchy and complaining all the time but I just had to take his signature . Oh yes!! Ralf Souquet was a nice chap too...reminded me of one of my boss I used to work for 2 years ago
The tickets are sold at the venue..for NT$100 you can enter and look around and get autographs and if the spectators are less, we can even watch the Table 1 match where they broadcast live on Star Sports and ESPN ( I saw myself yesterday on ESPN hee hee!!!! ) For NT$150, we get guaranteed seating in the Main Arena....
So anyone who likes Pool or just wanna have a nice time, go there or be square!! |

| 100NTD is pretty cheap.
I would have gone not because I like pool, but because out of curioristy.
It certainly would be a nice afternoon out, a break from movies and lazy afternoons or swimming.
100$ for an experience, or 150$ for a 5 sec less-obscure fame on ESPN.
You should have videotaped @david. Surely there is a repeat. This are moments. |

| Alex Pagulayan is the 2004 World Pool Champion!!!!
Alex "The Lion" Pagulayan, originally a Filipino now playing for Canada, played very well and capitalized on his chances when he got it!! His opponent, Pei Wei Chang of Chinese Taipei, played well too but not upto the mark. How did he get to the finals is what I wanna know!!!!
In one of his interviews right after his first match of Day 1, Chang said he lost cos he didn't sleep well the previous nite and he was feeling sleepy during the match [(:|] and that's why he lost. Oh wat a W.A.N.K.E.R.!! Didnt sleep well hah!!! Wat an excuse Duh!! hey buddy this is the world pool championships and you say you didn't sleep well!!![8-}]......but then who could have imagined he went to the finals!!![:0]
I was rooting all the way for Alex cos I know that kid got some gr8 talent!! He was in the finals last year but sadly didn't win it and I also saw him in the World pool trickshots which he won. He was really funny!!
Anyway good for him now that he has pocketed a cheque of US$75000. Asked about what he plans to spend his US$75,000 first prize on, Pagulayan joked, "Are there any casinos round here?" before admitting that he would use $30,000 to clear debts.
