I'm disappointed and sad, but not shocked. I think it's human nature.
The way I see it, about 10 per cent of people will tend to be cruel if they're in a position of power. They will lead such acts of humiliation and violence.
Roughly 35 per cent will silently oppose it because they feel it's not right. Because they're silent, they will have no effect.
Roughly 54 per cent, the majority, will stand by and watch with mild encouragement and amusement. Over time, some of them will join in the cruelty.
And there'll be the one per cent who protest, but they'll soon be beaten into submission and/or dismissed to the fringe.
If you join college and stay in the hostel, you'll probably find out all about human nature first-hand. |

also americans...ummm its war eh....ppl r dying..... happens in war....ppl dont treat biryani n ask for info...torture becomes an obvious choise....also physical harm is a no no for american forces i think......so they did all this to beat the iraqis into psychological submission into deep personal humiliation n degradation to "breaking" them up.... jus a theory...i dont support support da war.... but well...its war....ugly things will happen overall or in pockets like abu gharib...wudnt blame neither side!!
n i must alaso say for once....all da media has been very critical of da mighty usa.... for once!! dats a healthy sign......to bring down da american arrogance!!! |
