Many many in this world are anti-american, ofcourse dont' count the taiwanese and Japanese.

If you go to the talking-point section of BBC World Online, you will be amazed at all the american-bashing that's going on, espc from the Europeans.

For one thing, I applaud the world intiatives taken up by the Europeans, like the Kyoto Earth Treaty, anti-mines.

I just wondering what are others attitude towards the americans.

They contribute more than 50% of the world's greenhouse gases and they are complaining about rising oil prices ? USA is the only country where the number of cars exceedes the number of driving-license holders.

To begin with, Americans strikes most as airheads. They seem more arrogant than anyone else. Their 'culture' predominates the world. I suppose British English if losing to American English? I haven't an idea, but it seems to me to be so. Another thing is don't we always despise the strongest? Moreover because of the way America behaves on certain issues like the Kyoto Protocol or lack of reaction to Israel's assasination of Palestinian leaders, she'd bound to win herself a lot of disgruntled. Most americans are kinda head strong. America have the most lawyers isn't it so? Ah well. Few Americans will understand the chinese concept of 'Zen' or in pinyin spelled 'Ren'. -- §Ô --

Taking Iraq is no problem. The problem is keeping it. I'm trying to figure out how Iraq and saddam tie in with the war on terror. The drift of the argument will include Syria, Libya, N Korea

dutyfree, that is a pure republican side analysis. They shouldn't compare going to war in WWII with going to war on Iraq. They didnt have a UN mandate to go to Iraq war. But yeah, getting rid of Saddam was a good judgement.

in few words...democracy is an illusion and capitalism a mirage!!! the system is based on consumption and is consuming every1.i agree wit easily_bored. also wot america does best is marketing at conscious n subconscious level hence da constant desire of anything western from us. but also most asians r now finaly understanding how america works, n how to leverage it better. rather than burning effigys/flags on da streets n meaningless protest on the streets which wont be even broadcast on any major news channel in north america. be aware of wots happening arnd u and play hard wit da yankees, which finaly da world is doing!!!!
