There are several categories and uses of cars. There are student cars, which are usually the second car in the house, or even the third. Then there's the family car for shopping and taking kids around. Then there's the single working professional's car for getting to and from work and recreation. Etc. etc.
In the categories, we have small economy, large economy, mid-level, top-end, luxury, etc. etc.
So all in all, best depends on best for what purpose and price range. |

No, The BMW X5 looks crappy from the back and doesn't have the power of the RX 330 when moving from standstill position to 60km/hr. Besides, the spare parts of BMW are too costly. When you press the gas of RX 330 from 0 to 100 km/hr, you don't feel the gears jerking, it is so smooth. And, the sunroof of the RX330 is so large you couldn't ask for anything better at such a price. With the added features like VSC ( Vehicle Stability Control), HID self propelled headlights, Mark and Levinson Stereo System, self opening and closing back door and micro chip controlled theft alarm system it surpasses the other vehicles in its class. The air shocks which Lexus developed helps the computer lower the chassis even further when the vehicle reaches a speed above 60 km/hr to make it more aerodynamic.. Isn't it great ? |

obviouly you are shopping for a car i think, Or simply a car lover and enthusiast?
It all comes down to how deep your pocket is; before buying a car the most important thing is to check insurance, maintenance, fuel costs, for the particular car you are buying. Some car seems inexpensive but costly to up keep.
Assuming you are single and looking for a sport car, and you live in North America?
My pick and fav;
First choice, Subaru WRXsti AWD, 2.5 liter turbocharged 300 horses, around US$ 30 ++,
Second choice, Ford Mustang convertible, 3.8 liter V-6 OHV vwSMPI 200 horses, around US$ 20++

If you are a student and still live under your Parents roof, I’d suggest buying a used car and saving your dollars is the wisest thing. After all a car is just a mode of transportation getting you from point A to B and back for convenience, falling in love with a Car will cost you dearly, and will leave you with less $$$ to entertain your significant others

| Did anyone stop to think about our own Desi Ambassador?? I'm sure each and every one here have sat in an Ambassador before[;)]
Personally, I dont have any preferences on any make of cars as long as they can take me to places with the least amount of maintenance.
I have always admired a Limousine......seeing all the stars riding in one.......with so much space inside it, with their own bar, with closed circuit tv etc etc......wonder when I can sit in one.....probably a dream which will never come true [:(]

Yeah, all new cars are auto transmission these days. Really miss those manual ones with " H " shift and " Z " shape shifts. I personally feel auto transmission cars should be atleast 1.8 liters and above , or there is no power. Manual is good when overtaking, down shift one gear and there you go with a loud bang from the exhaust.. But, boy, if you are stuck in a traffic snarl in a city like Taipei, your left leg becomes numb from pressing the clutch. Those are the times you wanna yank off the gear lever and throw it out of the window. But manual is more fuel efficient becos the "idling" speed is tuned at a lower RPM than auto cars. |

Here in Taiwan it is 1 million down payment and the rest in 40 interest free installments of 25,000 per month..[;)] Last month I called up the showroom and the chick drove it to my house for a test drive. I didn't know whether to look at the interior of the car or the chick sitting beside me !!! Now, she calls me up every second day asking me to make a decision.. |

Corolla is good.. I have been driving one 1.8liter XE since the past six years.. Not a single problem.. We use it to go to the market and park it anywhere and drive it om any road and weather.. No problem at all... It's one good car...
