Original Thread: Chinese film festival in Delhi

One of my profs from IIT-D (since moved to Jawaharlal Nehru U) has started an organization to promote civil interaction with China. Anyway, for the film buffs, that means FREE MOVIES!! from China from Apr. 15 to 21. The entire programme's up at http://www.tangraonline.com/member/edwardchiu/filmfest.html (thanks to Admin for the space ).

I just put up the unedited version of the programme, so there might be some errors and stuff. But the timetable is correct.

I guess there are practically no forum members in Delhi, but those that exist, let me know your interest, and I'll see about passes. I gather most of the movies are free-entry, but there might be some pass-entries.

Are there any good chinese (CHINA) movies ?? And is it dupped in those ear-nerving (Jackie Chan Dub) english accent ? No wonder after the show, Indians tease us with those accent. p.s. Are you the only chinese I know from IIT? Cool. [;)]

I think the chinese in Delhi are too busy making money [;)] there'll be more viewers if it was in Cal.

[8D]yep i agree to that jenny calcutta is much more forward and active in all this n it seems dat the no. of chinese ppl r much more also then in other cities.....for e.g we had the china sale in mumbai in big bazar where sum ppl came frm china n were selling excellent statues, vases, decoration stuffs that every chinese ppl would love to have..these ppl only knew mandarin n so they couldnt communicate much wit customers besides the chinese n there r very few chinese here..n living very far soo no social gathering unlike calcutta where they can get news abt these awesome deals!![;)]these ppl were frm china n travelling to dubai n other places to sell their stuffs n had they come to cal then people would have bought their stuffs like crazy...specially the tangra rest people n tannery owners n other shops......soo similarly a film festival in delhi with chinese movies wouldnt b such a big hit![^]
