What do you guys think of Elton's outburst at the media in the airport?
How did the overhyped Taiwan media react to it?
Was it a chinese paparazzi?
Somehow, it seems there is always something wrong with the security arrangement at CKS airport.

One can only say the guy is a "gay" JERK !! He wasn't even heckled a bit like Tom Cruise when he came.. Cruise took it very well and even went forward to shake hands with the people around him.. How the hell did he get "Knighted" by the Queen..? Must be some kind of mood swing due to old age....( like meno-pause in females, maybe ??? |

| I didn't see any T.V. to witness myself. But he been a public celebrity, I think he should have controlled himself better, it is all about PR.
But one cannot forget the too often CKS security ring mess up. I think it even happened to the Senegal Football team and many more.
There were no such complaints in H.K. or Shanghai.

In the TV it was very clear.. The cameramen and reporters were at a very SAFE and COMFORTABLE distance from him and his Bouncers.. Like, there was no dhakka-dhukki-- And compared to other celebretities, this time the news crew were quite less.. He shouldn't have done that at such a stage when his carreer is nearing the doldrums. Anyways, never quite liked his songs except for "candle in the wind". Prefer Phil Collins better.

Senegal Football team -- Those "junglees" were not mad at the media. Thy were UNHAPPY becos they felt they weren't paid enough, inspite of being allowed to stay in the Sheraton and given TWD 100K each for shopping ( besides another undisclosed lump sum just for coming here )!!! One wonders if they got paid that much by their own country. Was supossed to have an exhinbition match with the locals but just came out on the field, made a few long shots and went back to the hotel and called in China babes and had an orgy there. Pitiful Govt, tolerating all this just for some "International" recognition and a place in the UN !!
There were no such complaints in H.K. or Shanghai.
Too much freedom of the press here.. Too much media and too small place. Drop a pin on the floor, it gets reported the next day.

| I have to fully agree with Jackal....what he said was 100% true..
He shouldn't have behaved like that.....it's good that one taiwanese cameraman shouted back to his "pigs" remark by saying "Why don't you get out of Taiwan"??? I just hope the next time he comes and then there will be no media guys out there to cover him....then he will cry....it's strange but I dunno why all these Englishmen hate Taiwanese ppl.... |

Englishmen HATE everyone except themselves.. They still think they are the " shahibs" !!! He should come to our Dum Dum Airport and be accosted by the urchins for loose change ! |

the poor old guy must be tired from his tour coz Taipei was the last stop, but he should have more control over himself
in a way he's craving for publicity
it wasn't paparazzi
local media representatives with a pass are allowed to enter the restricted areas of the airports

Bridget Jones delights in Taiwan

Hollywood star Rene Zellweger paid a visit to Taiwan to promote her latest film Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
Dressed casually in jeans, a black top and sporting dark brown locks, Zellweger yesterday told a packed press conference of over 200 she was delighted to be in Taiwan.
She said Taiwan was the first stop on her Asian tour because she promised Taiwan artist Chen Yu-fan she would come to the island several months ago.
In her latest film, the sequel to Bridget Jones' Diary, Zellweger revives her role as hapless but hopeful Bridget, a single British woman who must endure endless pressure from her well-meaning relatives to get married.
Bridget also gets tricked by a playboy played by actor Hugh Grant and cannot appreciate the man who truly loves her played by Colin Firth.
"In this film we see her comparing her real life romance to her ridiculous idealized ideas of what romance should be," softly-spoken Zellweger told reporters.
But Zellweger said she had some points in common with her bumbling character.
"In terms of her essence, you know, I just admire her. I admire her optimism and I admire her honesty. I admire her humanity, and so sure, I am sure if I share anything in common with her, that would be fine with me," she said.
And as for whether Grant or Firth was the better kisser?
""Oh gosh, I'll never tell," she said.
Zellweger also talked about her feelings on being an actress.
"I love being an actress because I can do the things that I don't necessarily have the courage to share just as Rene as I can do it through the filter of character," she said.
Soon after she started the press conference, she suddenly went to the side of the stage to fetch a teddy bear wearing cowboy clothes.
She told curious reporters it was a gift from her brother and sister-in-law and she took it with her as she travelled the world.
To play Bridget Jones, the Texas-born and normally svelte Zellweger had to speak in a British accent and gain a significant amount of weight ¡X for the first film she gained around 20 pounds.
Zellweger denied reports that she had second thoughts about starring in the sequel because she had concerns about how the weight gain would affect her body.
An award-winning actress, Zellweger won an Oscar award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in director Anthony Minghella's Cold Mountain last year. Her role as a whacked-out waitress in Nurse Betty won her the Best Actress in a Comedy Award at the 2000 Golden Globes. She has also received numerous Oscar and Golden Globes nominations.
Zellweger first shot to fame when she starred opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Macguire eight years ago.
Well ?? She seemed to take it very well.
