Italy and France is my choice. I live in a hostel room without t.v. and the channel that will be showing the games are subscription channel. sigh..... Atleast, in India, you have free-to-air sports channel.... Guess have to go to some food-court with t.v. to see it....

I always love to go with the underdogs, so my bet will be on Croatia. I think alot of teams are underestimating the potential of this team but mind you, they were a part of the former Yugoslavia and something tells me that they got fire in their bellies to shock a few favorites. just a --> [*-:)]

vin, the sports channel here is not pay per view, it is more like pay per channel.... you pay more for more channels...unlike India where you pay a small amount for 100 channels... soda, what live telecast ? 2 yrs back, Much T.V. and another channel did broadcase ALL the matches... Portugal with their home advantage is my favourite. The recent success of FC Porto in the Champions League suggests the difference players like Deco and Costinha could make. Of course, England has a very good chance too, brimming with talents like Wayne Rooney, Owen and James Beattie in the attack, Lampard and Joe Cole in the midfield and Sol Campbell et al., in defence. Netherland is a potential winner if only the forwards like Nistelrooj, Roy Makaay and Kluivert can combine well. These guys dont seem to have a very good chemistry among themselves upfront. Who knows? Italy can win with a 1-0 scoreline in every match...hee hee... Come on Portugal!!!!!

England deserves to loose, too over-rated. Compare the games with Spain or other countries, so much more flowing, much more intersting. This sunday 2.45am, Spain vs Portugal is the match to watch.

haven't watch a SINGLE match yet!!!! have to wait till the 25th to watch the QFs on TVBS. feel like shooting off a complaint letter or two to various TV stations for the lack of broadcast. back to the game....it seems that there is no single dominant player yet (too early to say?) i think van Nistlerooj could emerge as one, so could Henry, Zidane and Morientes.

finally had a chance to watch the England-Croatia match. Brilliant is how I would describe Wayne Rooney. Explosive speed combined with clinical and delicate finish- a rare quality for a teenage striker. I think the winner of England -Portugal will go on to win the trophy.

Spain vs Portugal was a good match becoz both teams were skillful. England vs Portugal was an exciting match because of the see-saw results, but England is a horrible team. I love to see clever tricks ,neat passes and defence-splitting passes in a game. That's why I always loved watchign Zidane play or the Brazilians. You can pass and pass and pass endlessly in the mid-field but yet be score-less, or you can be innovative and leave the defence stranded with a beautiful pass, that makes a game, I am yet to watch Nedved perform, he is good. Sports is not all about skills, it is all about wits too. Yes I watched that match, exciting, and I supported Portugal, but am annoyed at them for allowing the 2nd Frank Lampard goal. After that goal, I was okay with any team going through. (feel sorry for England now) For the same reasons, no regrets at all for France loosing, they played liked a warmup match, no motivation. (get lost) A team who tried their best and labour hard deserves to win. Full stop. [:)]

i agree with the french deserving to lose. from what i've read inthe newspaper, success has gone into the heads for some players, with the coach sometime helplessly stranded. Some players disagree with the tactics and formation, some dissented about this and that...then there's lack of dedication, players like lizarazu and zidane et al., are past their prime...just too many reasons why they deserve to lose!! yeah nedved is good..very creative, very hardworking...gels well with baros and koller..these three played like a well oiled machine.. what about sol campbell's goal? i thought it was clean.

Read an article on www.soccernet.com and the author is pretty correct. There was a slight obstruction to the portuguese gk and when in a doubt, the referee usually decide in favour of the gk. Yday match, wow, when you have your heart set up for a team and then they perform well, it hurts to see the opponents dangerously close to scoring, talking abt Por vs Ned.

this year euro was totally unexpected...what the heck happened...cheee....all the good teams didnt even go into the final...the second thing which made me [:(!]was that i missed most of the matches later on....went to hua lien and couldnt even glimpse a single match...[:((]...what happened to italia...[:((]..neways it is over now...hope italy never plays like this in the future...all the players frm the major teams were too confident...chee....
