Is it true that Education Abroad is much better than India? As compared to the standards of education.

| This is a very tricky question. I think it depends on your unique circumstances.
In general, as far as Canada goes, India is better, at least in the schools we attend(ed), i.e. Christian missionary schools or private schools. They teach well and follow the Indian curriculum (ICSE, CBSE, etc.) closely, and at the end of 12 years, we know more than university first year students in Canada.
Now if you're talking university and college, I think Canada wins hands down for the variety and practicality of their courses. I went to a computer course in both Toronto and Delhi and I can safely say the Delhi school (NIIT - a top brand, for cryin' out loud!) taught me nothing whereas the Toronto school (Centennial College's Centre for Creative Communications) taught me everything I know.
The best universities are very difficult to enter in India and not so tough in Canada. How would you interpret this? You can say Canada is better because quality education is easier to obtain for the common man, or you can say India is better because education is more difficult to obtain, [:D] so only the best minds get in, resulting in a highly creative and competitive [}:)] environment.
But whatever the world may say about one vs. the other, the individual has to choose carefully his or her own future. Better not to be stuck with a degree you'll have no use for! So I think if you asked a specific question about your circumstances, people could suggest more relevantly what is better for you and why...

| Yeah Indian Schools teach you a lot and it fact toooo much.
What's the use ?
Indian (Most Asian) Education teach by brute-force, they shove it right down to you, American Schools encourage 'creativity' in students.
At the end of day, we have innovators, technopreneurs, thinkers all from the West while India churns out enginners and number crunchers.
For e.g. the Software boom in India. the fact is the concepts, the ideas, the algorithms are of US compaines and then they outsource it to cheaper Indian coders to write the programs.

| Education in India has alot of theories whereas abroad there is nature studies and a lot of practicals too.So much easier for students to understand. Rather than mugging up the whole thick books. |
