Which email service are you using ?
Now Yahoo is providing 100mb of storage after google promised 1GB of storage. I guess hotmail will be following suite, they should be ashamed of their meagre 2mb...
Right now, only certain yahoo regional are providing 100mb, i guess it willl be soon before all turns into a 100mb account.

Yeah yesterday i got the Yahoo! Mail. Woah!! thats a Great News, but how i wish it was hotmail.... cause yahoo is my secondary one [#:-S]

| My yahoo acct is USA but I 've set the content/language to India and I am still limited to 6mb.
So I change the content to USA in the options page, and it is reverted back to 100mb.
Weird, what if I used all the 100mb and revert back to India content ? |

| Microsoft is insulting you guys by still sticking with 2mb, atleast I think so, ain't it time to change to yahoo as primary email ?
I stopped using Mailcity.com because it has tooo many popups/popunders ads.
All in all, I chooose Google to be the best service provider, they sure are innovators and do pay heed to user's concerns, too bad their Gmail got hindered by legislations. And I hope that by going public, Google dont' become too market oriented.

| I think because Hotmail provides free POP3 access, some ppl like to use that service. (me included) [:D]
Yahoo used to provide free POP3 access too, but then they began charging user for POP3 access. |

| Yea you guys are rite...I'd just wish that Hotmail would do the same too and provide us with 100MB space....but I like Yahoo too. Now most of my mails come to yahoo. I'm just sick of getting the Hotmail reminder that my Inbox is almost out of space and they are going to delete my mails blah blah blah.......
Users in Taiwan whose ID ends with yahoo.com.tw will have to wait till october for the settings to take effect. If they can't wait that long, they can simply log into www.my.yahoo.com with their user name and password and click on the "Account info"and change the Language & content to English - United States OR Chinese - US & Other and they can enjoy the 100MB too.

Hmmmmm..............Roger came up with a really good question here. [:-?] I'd really like to try using up at least more than 6Mb and then change it back to the regions where they don't support 100MB space and see what happens. Will all my mails get deleted?? And what if I revert back to US? Will my deleted mails come back???

| i think they wud jus freeze ur account where u wudnt b able to do anything else but delete ur mails[:p]...try rediffmail...i think they r giving 1GB of space....www.rediffmail.com gee free market economy is fun......1 GB is serious space for lotsa mails..... |

| well each and every mail get spamed, hotmail and yahoo used to be like that too, but now hotmail and yahoo have improved and have done very well with their spam filter, so i am sure rediffmail will also improve in the future. [:)] |

| It is one thing to publicise your emails on the internet and then get spammed and blame it on your provider.
And totally another thing to be cautious but yet get spammed because your provider sold your email.
Never Never enter your email in any less-well known site registration or post it where crawlers can look for it. You can't then blame your provider.
But I can safely say VSNL sold my account, I never publicised it but yet i get tons of junk.

| rediff got new spam filter.... something like yahoo's///..... yeah i agree wit roger....dont publicise u wont get hit.... i think yahoo.... wen we go to yahoo chat da crawlers get our id.... coz yahoo was my highly confidential family n close frens email... ever since i started chattin i am gettin hit wit tonnes of spam..... but rediff is fast try it.... unless u got broadband then it wont make a diff..... |

| Yahoo has now banned all users from other countries other than the US from using the 100MB storage. I just changed my Language and content to English - India and I got 6 MB and now I can't change back to the U.S version.[V] ......and my inbox is about to explode ( I'm using 246% of my 6 MB [:0] )!!!!
Anyone know how to get back 100MB once we change the language ?? |

| What you mean you can't change it back to USA ?
Go to account information and go to layout-content and choose USA-English.
Do you mean the option is grayed out ?

| Yahoo wont let you change once you change it to another country's language. It really sucks man!!!!!
So please dont be a bonehead and change the Language and content to English-India....( I was a bonehead!!!![:D] ).......Anyway, I registered another USA account and got 100MB again!!! [:D] |

| Haa haa!!! I've finally found how to change back to 100MB.......those Yahoo ppl think they are clever....but we are one step ahead of them....
I found the back door to go into the hidden options page....Yahoo had hidden the Language & settings page so that once we change the language to any other language besides US or UK, we cannot change it back. I changed mine 2 days ago to India yahoo and couldn't change it back.....but voila!! here's the link to the back door

In case anybody accidently changed the settings, you can change it back by clicking on the above link.....
Some Taiwan guy came up with this solution.....[bow]
Yahoo had recently changed all the Taiwanese mailboxes back to 6MB and they even emailed all their members not to change the settings to US - Chinese & other and patiently wait till october for the changes to take place but.........WE WIN AGAIN!!!!![=))][:))] |
