Terms of Service for the use of Photo Album
Photos that are not good enough or too small will be rejected. Maximum size for the pictures is 1500 kb and height or width will be resized to less than 750 pixels. Acceptable formats are .jpg, jpeg, .png, .tif, .gif only.
If a user uploads something of questionable legality or taste, it will be removed. These include photos that are
* modified to knowingly give a wrong impression
* abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, drug related, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law.
The site reserve the right to modify/delete descriptions, to rename or to reorganize categories, or to remove such photos.
Users agree to accept all liability for the legality of content they submit and will not hold us responsible for any damages that result.
Your IP address is recorded each time you upload a photo. Only in the event of a VERY major violation of community standards, we will use this information to (in order of severity): 1. ban you from posting photos this site, 2. ban you from this site, and 3. contact your ISP. Again, these will only happen if you do something VERY BAD in the picture gallery...
It is always wise keep a backup of the pictures at your own computer, there is no such thing as 100% guarantee of permanence. For our policy on guarantee, please look below.

| My image is large, how do I upload?
The upload size limit is 1500Kb.
Most images from digital-camera will be in excess of 1.5MB, use a photo-editor to reduce the size first to under 1500kb, and then try uploading again.
If you are using a slow modem connection and experience errant uploads, reduce the image size further.
Features of this Photo Album
1¡^Upload Image files each upto a size of 1.5MB.
2¡^Unlike other websites, your image won't be compressed, WOWchinese allows you a total 50MB storage space to store all your images in it's original.
3¡^A smaller internet-optimized image will be shown as default, with option for your visitors to download the original version. (Yahoo! resizes your images to ridiculous small sizes)

What are the guarantees?
Our webhost Exabytes does weekly backup of the site, and our own support-team does a forthnightly backup. Therefore in case of any computer failure, your images will be restored from a minimum of 1 week or a maximum of 2 weeks.
And we are a 4+ years company with a solid reputation, we are not fly-by-night business, we won't be closing down this site atleast in the near future.
Rest assured, your images are safe with us.

| What is backup feature?
Use the backup feature to store your original size photo.
If you choose the backup feature, two copies of your picture are stored, one is the internet optimised to smaller size for web-viewing, the other is original size for archiving in it's original resolution.
Should you backup? Yes and No.
Yes, because you are allowed to photo edit your pictures and save it to your album. Incase you want to undo changes to the saved picture, the picture will be replaced by the backup copy.
No, because it would mean taking up 2x of your alloted space.

| How do I delete the picture?

| Photo Album Modes
Connected Photos:
It will show photos uploaded by members that are within 3 degrees of your Friend List, plus members that are in your Favourite List.
Other Member's Photos:
It will show photos uploaded by members that are not Connected.
Note: Photos of members in your Ignore List won't be shown. |
