Recently it had been on the news about separating state and religion.
There had been rulings in the US in favour of removing Christian sybmols from courts and schools.
And then a law banning Islamic headscarves and other religious symbols from French state schools came into effect on Thursday. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/3619988.stm
Which makes me think what is the situation in India. Does Indian law bans such symbols from state? What does 'state' means? Does Jesuit private schools come under it.
Because I know Jesuit has well documented history of giving privleges admission to Catholics, displays crosses in classes, and has a slight (very) slight tendency to convert the scheduled caste & tribes, but not Hindus, they won't convert.
P.S. Does anyone know the website of the Jesuits? I am going to file a complaint with them about some 'brothers' and 'fathers' sexually molesting primary kids.
P.S. The terrorist surely didn't take a crash course in Public Relations. By kidnapping the french journalists, they have united whole of France against them. This is just an example where mature diplomacy triumphs and stupid radicalism take a back seat.
